Both were from a special linage
a. Daniel – Royal Seed
b. John – Priestly Seed

Both were considered prophets

Both saw visions of the time of the end

a. For of a stone cut without hands crashing down on the kingdoms of this world
b. John the return of Christ

Both survived the destruction of the Temple
a. Daniel survived the destruction of the temple by Nebuchadnezzar
b. John Survive the destruction of the temple by the Romans

Both lived to be in their 90’s

Both lived through numerous leaders.
a. Daniel lived thru 4 major kings, 2 Babylon and 2 Medio Persian
b. John lived thru at least 4-5 major Roman Emperors

Both saw visions that are parallel to the other
a. Daniel 12:4, Daniel is told to seal the book until the end
b. Revelation 22:10, John is told not to seal up the book because Daniel is incomplete without the book of Revelation
